Chris Rock has become the latest celebrity to announce a COVID-19 infection.
Rock, 56, has a home in Alpine. His COVID-19 case is a breakthrough one, meaning he tested positive and developed symptoms after being fully vaccinated.
During an appearance on “The Tonight Show” in May, the actor and comedian told Jimmy Fallon that he had received the one-dose Johnson & Johnson/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine.
“You know, I skipped the line, too, to get my vaccine,” Rock said. “I didn’t care. I used my celebrity, Jimmy. I didn’t care. I was like, ‘Hey, step aside, Betty White. Step aside, old people. Judge Judy, kiss my ass. I did “Pootie Tang.” Let me in the front of the line.’ I was like Billy Zane on the Titanic
In 2001, Rock and then-wife Malaak Compton bought a $3 million Alpine home, which they shared with daughters Lola and Zahra.
